It has been just one year since I found this site and became a member. I have been collecting cards since the late 80's, but fell off the wagon for past 8 years. I have always enjoyed collecting Braves cards and because of this site and it's great members, I have increased my collection a great deal. Currently I am sitting at about 15,000 Braves cards in my PC. I am not sure what the record is, but in my first year here I have sucessfully completed 295 trades and have received 207 positive feedback (not trying to rub it in or nothing). Because of all of you, my love for the hobby has hit an all time high. Thank you all that have made some great trades with me and I hope to keep the trades coming......

PS. Much respect to vrooomed for helping me navigate through the site and help out with fixing several of my entry errors!

Here's to hopefully many more years of trading and collecting!

Happy anniversary!

Thanks to you, Scott, I don't have very many Braves, except the ones that matter, like Felipe Alou.

One day I'll buy a large lot and find a ton of Braves you need and we can make a larger trade than our normal sized PWEs.

It is truly the best reflection on TCDB that we hear these words so often from so many of us.  Unlike so many other Hobby sites and companies associated with the hobby, TCDB has rejuvenated the hobby for so many.

Congrats on your impressive Braves collection; I am happy to have been a part of it.

8 year hiatus, yep that is about right. It seems that we older collectors (the ones who were collecting Pre-super Overproduced years mid 1980s to mid 1990s) have had at least one hiatus from the hobby somewhere from the 1990s to just a few years ago.

Scott, your attitude toward getting those errors fixed was tremendous, and showed your character - one I truly respect. Mistakes happen, and when we learn how to fix them ourselves, we become productive members of a crowd-sourced site like this one.

Our passion for the hobby will wax and wane depending on where life takes us. I think almost every member on here has stories of how they went through a time when they weren't buying, they were away from the hobby, etc. (the exceptions would be our youngsters here!). I'm glad this little section of the WWW has been able to help you continue your impressive team collection. Glad we're here together.
