Last time I checked, Topps was still a card manufacturer.
The basis of the conversation above is this entry in the FAQ.

l submitted IRs on those non-Topps pins in the past. Looks like nothing came of it.

1969 MLBPA pins are graded - Check
1988 Topps coins - made by a card company - Check
I am having some issues finding the 1990 MLBPA baseball buttons listed, so they should be questioned.
And in case you were wondering about the Sweet Caporal pins:

I'm not at my PC right now, but do want to discuss with you, vrooomed, about some sets that have been deleted here, but are graded. Remind me next time we chat 😉

I believe WE have opened a can of worms here. My research on Other Collectibles onsite in the past could really "blow a hole" in what should be listed or not be listed. SOMEBODY is going to spend hours and hours deleting all sorts of stuff via IRs. I'm not sure that's what we want to or should do. I did it once, submitted it once, posted it once, and discussed it numerous times with the L8 members. WE NEED A CLEAR-CUT "OTHER COLLECTIBLES GUIDE" onsite for clarification and member reference.
Maybe the best thing to do is just call what is presently listed EXCEPTIONS by Admin, that has certainly a precedent set already. Then ADD an OTHER COLLECTIBLE GUIDE to the site to hopefully weed out some "unwanted" entries. Personally not sure that will eradicate the issue but possibly dissaude members from listing such items. ~BOB~

What would be ideal is if there was some sort of "approved by Admin" type notation for the sets. I realize we have almost 200,000 sets listed, but that includes insert sets. Maybe if the approval was by "release", like the 2019 Topps set would be approved and all 6 billion insert sets would be approved with it. Then we could truly see what has been granted exception status and what hasn't been looked at yet.

PSA shouldn't be a lone criteria. If so, we can start adding US coins? Tickets? Coin dies? All graded by PSA.

From: https://www.tradingcarddb.com/FAQ.cfm?ITEM=OtherCollectibles
- Is it ok to add entries for other types of collectibles?
Other collectibles that are inserted into packs or boxes of traditional trading cards are allowed to be listed in order to fully document the inserts that were included.
Other items made by card companies, sold via card retailers, and authenticated by card grading companies are also allowable.

So the MLBPA pins don't get listed. They don't meet all three criteria, "Other items made by card companies, ..." What card company made them?
