I'm not sure what to do so that my scanner will scan the whole disc and not cut off the edges. Here's what happens:

Any suggestions.

Try a different color background?  Or it could be an overly aggressive 'Dust Removal' setting?

I'm not an expert, but I just resize. Of center as well.

I'm almost sure it's a preset feature. I was not aware of a "dust removal" setting. Wow! I'll try to play around with it when I get home. Thanks.

Somewhere in your settings there's an option to turn off the automatic cropping feature.  I have my scanner set up to scan the full platen (do NOT "auto-detect" document size) and then I crop the images manually.  It's more work, but it prevents weird cropping issues like the one you have...
