I have recenlty begun using the multiple collections feature to differentiate set collections, PCs, etc. I have noticed through some trades I've completed that the received cards have not been ending up in the proper collection. For example, I had a card listed as a want in my a sub-collection. After accepting and sending out a trade it was properly listed as "in-transit" in that sub-collection. However, after marking the trade as received, it added the card to my main collection as opposed to the sub-collection. So now I have to go through and move each card to the proper sub-collection. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's a bug in the system. Has anyone else noticed this, or had it working properly? Thanks.

All cards you receive in trade will be dropped into your Main Collection and you have to manually distribute them (if there are many of one set all going to the same collection, you can "Move all" from the main to the one you desire). I too wish they would automatically go into the collection where the want was but that is not the case.

Thanks for the reply Bruno. I am enjoying the multiple collections option, but this is a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps a new feature suggestion ...

Just to add, if you have a card in one collection but also want it for another collection (in my case, I have a PC collection and a set collection), if you add all missing cards in a set to your Want List, it will not add cards that are in your other collection.
For example, let's say I have the 1968 Ryan RC in my PC but I want all of the missing cards of the 1968 Topps set in my Topps set colelction, if I us the Add all missing cards to my Want List, it will skip over the Ryan RC because it sees it in my "Total" Collection.

I think one way to turn this into a positive is if you have your main collection empty when you get cards in a trade it’s easy to see that you got them all, then move them to their respective collection. That’s my plan once I get my main collection cleared out.

That's not a bad idea since I'm working on adding more collections right now.
I have a question though as I thought of this when I saw the title- is there a way to "trade" between your own collections? Maybe I'm overlooking it but I couldn't find out how to move stuff from my Main Collection to my basketball collection besides just removing it from one and adding it to another. I thought there was a post on the forum before about this but honestly I didn't look.

You can do itone set at a time. When on the page to update your collection (Main Collection) , click on the window "Choose an action". in the drop down menu you should be able to move everything to another collection. This will move Wants, Traders and cards in your collection. If you only want to move the Cards, the traders, or the wants, select what you want displayed from the upper window showing "All Cards". I did this for all the sets I had (too many to count). I have a collection just for Traders so I first moved those, then moved the cards in my collectiona dn the wants into the proper collection (by company name). This was the fastest way I found to do it.

AHA! Thanks! I didn't see those the other night, maybe I just didn't know what I was doing. That will help me out a lot though.
