There are two Steve Smiths that were addressed in a thread a few years ago. From what I can tell there are three PIDs for each one.
For Steve Smith (May 12, 1979) - the difference between the first two is the period at the end of the second one
For Steve Smith (May 6, 1985)
I'm not really sure what fixing this entails, thus the post before informing Admin if I must.

I only see one PID for each. Steve Smith b. 1979 is PID 12801 and Steve Smith b. 1985 is PID 45822.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Why the three links for each?

Are you looking at various card pages to see those links? The text in the Name field is what gets appended after the PID - which is essentially ignored when the url is accessed. I could put "Fred Funk" in the name, but have Steve Smith's PID number in the PID field, and it would come up as yet another link.

OK, I guess I mistakenly interpreted a name error as a PID error.

I took out the USC. Not needed now that it's linked to the correct person.

As soon as I read the 1st five words of the OP I knew what this thread was about and that the link was my old thread. But going through this thread, a THIRD Steve Smith popped up. The card Joshua linked has been fixed to the correct Steve Smith and the new PID of 184217 has been fixed. I really hope he only had 3 cards. There were 7 listed under his name, but 3 of them where actually Steve Smith Sr. (12801) and one was the Giants WR (45822). This is the newest added Steve Smith:

There ought to be a law! Maybe they should want to distinguish themselves from each other. Go with variations like: Steven, Stevie, Stevo, Jr. or the Third (twice removed).
