jasongerman9 has cleared the 1000 post threshold! Alas, I think his 1000th post came in a rather unpleasant thread, but he's been involved in many, many more actually pleasant threads! 

I, personally, have had very little direct interaction with Mr. 9, but he did message me about the discovery of an extra star on Topps 1974 checklists! I forgive him for that because I know he contributes a ton to the site.

I leave the rest of the accolading to you who know him best.

Ha! Bob, that made me laugh. Ultimately, it was not one of yours, but rather the one about the 1/1 card destroyed. It's funny v3 mentions it, because I happened to notice that was my 1000th post, and I was disappointed that was the topic it had to be about.

It's also funny that v3 and myself have had so little interaction, outside of that variation message (have I mentioned that was the least favorite message I ever had to send?), because one of my favorite parts of this site is seeing the awesome ways he displays his collections of Cubs cards.

But allow me to say this: I hope that my 1000 or so posts have for the most part been informative or at least interesting. I try and avoid confrontation (no, seriously, I don't enjoy it) though I know I've butted heads with a few in the past. I also try and add value to everything that I share on this site, whether for myself or for others. I've always said that I consider it a privilege to spend my card collecting time with a very esteemed group of collectors, on undoubtedly the best trading card site on the web.

So in closing: thanks to all who have sent congratulations thus far, and to any others who may add on to this post. Is it too late to change my award vote for "Favorite Forum Thread" to this one?

Congrats man on reaching 1000.  I can say that I aspire to be like you when posting in the forums because of how you try to calm tensions at times.  I try to do the same, but can't hold my tongue all the time.  When not defusing tensions, you also bring great insight to the forums, and help out on the site a lot.  Thank you for being a great role model for many on the site.
