You could look up
what cards you
have/need for a
given team's current
active roster,
rather than what the
team listed on the
card is. It would
make pulling cards
out for autograph
singings or personal
appearances so much
easier.

We could probably make this happen. The hard part would be keeping the list of active rosters up to date as it’s a constantly changing thing.
Is there anyone else who would be interested in this feature and/or be willing to keep the rosters of their favorite teams up to date?
Thanks,

I'd be willing to
give it a shot with
the NFL rosters.
What I'd recommend
is that you don't
post the updated
roster until they
cut down to the
final 53 man
edition prior to
the regular
season. Otherwise
people come and go
through camp
constantly and it'd
be much harder to
keep track. Then
all you need to do
is once a week
check for roster
moves and on, say,
Saturday, make any
relevant changes.

I can also try to help keep NFL up to date. I can't promise always but probabley. Maybe you could give NFC to SOC and AFC to me.

Colts12: as a
Dolphins fan part
of me wants to find
your suggestion
offensive! But
that sounds like a
good idea, it'd
split the workload.
Billy: those are
called "free
agents"!
Seriously, I'd
assume they'd still
be searchable in
the box at the top
of the screen? I
think the whole
point of this idea
is to easily access
players actually on
rosters, so I don't
see where the basic
search function
wouldn't be all
that's required
there.

That's a good
point. Somebody
who can explain the
programming side of
it would have to
answer. Maybe it
works like when you
add cards to your
collection. If you
mess up and select
the wrong box, you
can go back and
uncheck it. Maybe
the key is to do
something like that
for all players,
i.e. have a list
and then hit a
button saying
they're on a
roster. Then only
those players show
up in the list to
fill the rosters.
If they get cut,
you go back to the
first list and
uncheck their name,
and they're removed
from the list of
players available
for assignment to a
roster.

We can each do 2 divisions of AFC and 2 of NFC. What do you think? I guess I don't even have to at all. But still I'd like too.

What we would do is add a link to each team’s page called "Active Roster", then members could add and remove players from the list on that page.
