In the last couple of days, I sold a box of hockey cards through Kijiji to another collector. Whenever I do meet other collectors, I tell them about this site and how great it is, inviting them to join and make use of it for their own collecting.  In this case, please forgive me now as he is another Oilers fan, hopefully not as vocal as the one we all have grown to "like". I already told him about our Oilers fan; maybe he can distract ours.

It always made me wonder how most of us found this site.  (Surprised Admin hasn't initiated a similar survey to know how word is getting around.) We have all seen the total # of members increase regularly with some introducing themselves on the Forum. So, if you wish to participate, here are the options:

1. Heard it from a fellow collector (if you wish to say who by member ID, please do so) (0)

2. Surfing the net researching info on a card or set (1)

3. At a card show advertisement or TCDB booth (0)

I don't think there are any others.  As you respond, add 1 to the corresponding #'s total (x).  As I am here, I found it through #2 (1).

I found it surfing for checklists, so for me, it is 2 (2).

#2 (3) for me also. I was looking for obscure Cincinnati Reds cards for my collection. That was six years ago this week.

#2 (5).  Once Beckett maid their collections paid in addition to their price guides, I started searching for an alternative.  Love this site.

Looking for Bill Ranford checklists on Google, was using the big B and Ultimate but did not like either interface. Found this and have become "one of the family" ............. or so I thought !?! =P I am pretty sure he was kidding.

Looks like a great deal of us found it by looking for checklists. I specifically was looking for a comprehensive Phillies checklist that I could print year by year. Then I found that not all the checklists had all the teams listed. My desire to help the site started then.

I'm in the same boat as everyone. Pretty sure I was looking to either ID a card or for a comprehensive collecting information site.

I was looking for an online checklist so I didn't need to go buy a Beckett price guide. I came across this site and started to input a computer paper box of cards and then I was back into the hobby for the first time since 2002.
