The Pro Wrestling HOF used for the site's HOF purposes, on PID pages, is not the WWE List of Fame (It's not a HALL; there is no location) but the actual, physical Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, which you can go to in Wichita Falls, TX, and is unaffiliated with WWE. I assume this is what you're talking about.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Like David said, this site uses the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame as the HOF criteria, not the WWE Hall of Fame.

On a side note after looking through both Halls of Fame, I think both are garbage compared to the Wrestling Observer News Letter Hall of Fame. Considering Dave Meltzer created the universally used 5 star match system and that he also covers pretty much every wrestling promotion in the world, I would say that Hall of Fame is the most prestigious to me.
Wrestling legends like the Great Muta and Mitsuharu Misawa are not listed on the Pro Wrestling HOF or the WWE HOF for example.

That was the one Admin decided on years ago, when I requested we acknowledge one. I think he used the existence of an actual Hall as the deciding criteria.

I'm okay with the one they use, because WWE HOF is really washy to begin with, and Meltzer while he may seek input from fans, still seems bias on a lot of his stuff. That being said, its all subjective anyways, but I like the choice Admin made. By the way when do they announce new inductees? I always forget.
Speaking of Hall of Fames, is the College Football Hall of Fame honored on here or no? I'm just curious and don't really care either way but was just thinking about it as I saw this topic appear.

If you are speaking about WWE inductees, they usually start announcing them around the Royal Rumble. Whether it's just before or just after I can't remember.

FWIW, the 2019 inductees for the PW Hall of Fame have been announced:
Pioneer Division - Charlie Fox and Baron Michele Leone
Television Era - Lord James Blears and Abdullah the Butcher
Modern Era - Ronnie Garvin and Owen Hart
Territory/Journeyman/Colleague Division - Bob Roop
International Division - Gory Guerrero
Executive Division - Wally Karbo
Tag Team Division - The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose & Bobby Eaton)
Ladies Division - Ann Laverne and Beverly "the Hammer" Shade
Referee Division - Johnny "Red Shoes" Dugan
https://www.pwhf.org/
While I know they have expenses involved in creating all of those plaques, I really wish they would do a sort of mass catch-up induction one year for the Pioneer and Television eras, and induct about 10 individuals from each. I know their inductees are somewhat based around who is still alive, either talent or family, to receive the honor, but there are SO many who should already be in there. Charlie Fox was probably only selected because his son, Richard, is still alive, and assembled a book about Fox.

Well, since the PWHF in Wichita Falls is no more, what is the path forward?
There is the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (https://nwhof.org/)in Waterloo, Iowa, which covers both amateur and professional wrestling, and now the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (https://www.prowrestlinghall.org/) in Albany, New York, which has two induction classes under its' belt now. The latter was organized by some of the same people who organized the original hall that was moved to Wichita Falls. With the collapse of the PWHF, lots of the items are being transferred to the new facility in Albany.
