I don't see any difference between these two cards. This is the 1990 Pro Set card #386. VAR a is listed as small print on front, while VAR b says name in large print on front. The only difference i see is either a cropping issue or miscut.

First off - to avoid confusion to others reading this thread, the 1st card posted above is the 386b "Large print" card while the 2nd one is 386a. Look where the 'm' in Cunningham lines up with his knee. The letters are slightly bigger and that's what causes Eagles to get cut off the edge of the card. The card isn't a miscut because the left side still has picture there instead of being blank. The size is VERY hard to discern, but it really is there. That's just the best description to define the difference b/t the two cards. The real difference is the Vikings player in the background on the left side of the card. That's hard to describe in a short way in a CL. On the small print version, you have no idea that the player is wearing a Vikings helmet or that his jersey number ends with either a 5 or 6.

Left one would've been tossed in the damged box by me. No wonder I never found that one back then.

Funny that you say that. I actually used the centimeter side of a ruler to measure differences and it was still difficult. It would've been nice if that card was obvious like the Art Shell HOF card with the small and large print.

How about changing the VAR to "offset graphics".

It looks to me as though the whole image is shifted to the right. If you look at the "NFL Pro Set" logo in the upper left corner, and the "Pro Bowl" logo in the lower left corner. They are both further from the edge of the card. Also, the same goes for his elbow on the left side of the card. Hence, you can see more of the Vikings player in the background.
