Same issue as my previous post. Base card? Premier Preview? Preview? Item No. on this one  is 755205-61A

Came packed in with the die-cast car in 2001. One ended on eBay recently #92 STACY COMPTON MELLING DODGE 2001 RACING CHAMPIONS 1/64. It didn't sell at about 15 bucks.

I don't think that information was ever in doubt, Doc.

Maddawg - That appears to be the base version.  It is not apparent from the 1:64 packaging, I can't see the difference between the two here:

But the 1:24 is clearly marked "PREVIEW" on the front of the box, and it has the other card design included:

And the "Chrome Chase" one has a blue background and says Chrome Chase right on it:

The "Premier" set appears to be vertical format (portrait orientation), but I only see the Mayfield one right now.

I found the same two 1:64 images that you did and it just doesn't make sense to me. I assumed it was the base card as well but the images saved to the base version here on the site were different than mine and I just can't seem to find a for sure answer. Who knows if it's an unlisted variation or if they just kind of threw them into whichever package. I know for me back then the car mattered way more than the card so I wouldn't be surprised to see multiple variations of which card came with which car. 

I was lucky enough to have an image of the Compton car my card came from still in the package. (I didn't start photographing them in package until 2006, I bought a second to remove the censoring and apply the correct Kodiak markings, never got around to it though) and it is clearly the Preview, which means that I clearly posted the scan in the wrong place.

(Note also the car in the package is the first Intrepid tooling, with RC totally redid very early in 2001, and only appears on 3 issues).

What happened in this case is that I got the car when it first came out, as I always did, and when they put the car in later waves, they changed the card...but since I already had the Compton car I didn't bother to buy a new one. Never would have even realized there was a difference in cards if not for this thread, actually!

By my estimation I am less than 100 away from having the complete Racing Champions NASCAR line from 1989-07.

I'm going to go submit an inaccuracy report on my own scan now...
