I cannot find this card in the database.  Is that because there’s no special category for where it came from?

Any help is appreciated 

What's on the card for Beckett to conclude this is a "2001 Originals?"

This simply looks like a 1987 Donruss - slabbed and graded.

I have about 20 different from this issue. They were 1 per 2001 Donruss Hobby box.  All just regular unstamped base cards (most from 1987-91).  The only thing that differentiated them from a regular card was the Beckett Slab that said "2001 Donruss Anniv Originals"

You are both correct it is just a slabbed 87 that came out of a 2001 box.

They are just regular Donruss cards. The fact that they are in a holder does not change that they are just regular Donruss cards. 

Donruss didn't have the MLB license in 1999 and 2000, so they tried all kinds of stuff in 2001 to get collectors to buy their cards again. This was another one of those gimmicks. They were trying to remind collectors of how long they had been making cards before they lost the license. They certainly could have done a better job with these cards by marking them in some way before slabbing them. Donruss only held the MLB license for a few more years before losing it again (after the 2004 season, I think).
