If the images load correctly you will see that I have 2 cards of Rypien QB Club Inserts. The photos are showing what the card looks like with correct foil on front and back so to hopefully speak a thought here. I have Googled this, searched EBay and Carboard Connect etc and it simply isn't where I can find it and thus it could be a very rare error even though it's on a less popular QB. I've never seen Action Packed make too many errors at all do any help here would allow me to notate the card in my files as to what the circumstances are that caused it to be packed and shipped like it was from the factory. This is not a "box cover" card or some promo that I'm not aware of at least. Any help is thanked ahead of time. God Bless.....

I cannot find another one on any site that I.D's cards or info about them. I searched for 2 hours trying to find just one that explained it but it might be a RARE FIND, who knows. All the lettering is embossed and you can see the edges where the foil goes too. But to miss front and back, that's a double whammy huh? Thanks for replying and hope to hear more if anyone has seen any before too.. God Bless...

Actually, with Action Packed, the fronts and backs are actually only "fronts", as the "backs" of the printing sheets are inside the card. The backs of the final card are printed next to the fronts, and then folded over and sealed. So, I would've actually been a lot more surprised to see foil on one side and not the other.
What you have is something that may fetch more than the regular card. You may find a Rypien, Redskins, or variant collector willing to pay more for it simply because of it's uniqueness. However, it's simply a printing error, which does not get catalogued on TCDB.

By the nature of errors it could be the only one or it could be one of hundreds. There's no way to know and not enough people care about errors to find out. In all my years on card forums (early 2000) I've found only four people besides myself that collect production errors.
The Action Packed cards were printed as one and then folded, so the foil missing on both sides is no surprise. In fact if it was only on one side I'd say it was altered.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I agree with you all here too. I had a mental lapse on the cards being printed them folded over in the finishing process when they made them, should have known with 20+ years in Xerox & Canon Corp. I searched many sites and word usages and cannot find a record of another being discussed, traded or sold anywhere so I will keep it tucked away as it has been for all these years. I only touch the edges to slip in sleeves or loaders etc, untouched......thanks again...

This type of printing error, an actual error during the printing process I sometimes like but I would NOT pay any extra for it. Even as a Skins fan and a Mark Rypien. I'm not a fan of the Action Packed series though. Mostly because of the fact that it was printed on one side and folded over. I like Oddball cards but Action Packed was just a little too odd for me. The Odd thing is when they first came out I loved them.
I am still fascinated at how many of these type of errors slip through the quality control of card makers. In the old days of printing about 150 or so cards per printing sheet (or however many cards there were per those 3 foot by 5 foot or whatever sheets) the entire sheet would be effected by the error, all the cards printed on that sheet would miss a printing step. If they had "foil" printing back then, which they didn't, all the cards would be missing the foil and you would think someone would notice before the sheet was sent to be cut into individual cards. Sure there is probably some conveyor belt type system, but depending on the machines those often allow for removal of non-conforming product.

Topps' sheets were 11x12 - 132 cards (hence the 132-card traded sets).
Early Fleer and Donruss was also 132. All those 660-card sets were usually on 132's. I think Score was on 110s.
Other ones were 100 (10x10) - that's how we did the 9-card sets at Star (10th card was the promo).
