So, first and foremost, I find out that Salvador Perez is out 4-6 weeks after tearing his MCL when carrying his luggage. That’s probably the first of many injuries I will deal with. Then, I miss almost all of the roto draft.

MCL tear from carrying luggage?!! OMG. How does that even happen to any athlete? I'm closing in on 40-years-old fast and I have to lift way more weight over my shoulders on a daily basis. I pulled my MCL 6 months ago and haven't stopped working yet. I tore my rotator cuff last fall and still didn't stop working then either. I guess when you make millions of dollars per year, you can afford to take time off for injuries. Even a couple hundred thousand a year allows for time to heal, but I don't have that luxury.
But I also don't have to run or throw hard at my job, so I guess it's easier for me to manage my injuries. Even without their money or even health insurance, I manage just fine on my own. Sure would be nice to have the money to take time off for an injury though!

And I didn't even mention the broken toe I suffered through almost 2 years ago. I still didn't miss a day of work. I didn't even go to a doctor. I knew what they would do and did that myself. Then I consulted with a couple of nurses that I know and they confirmed that I was right and that I saved a ton of money by dealing with it myself.
BTW, I work 6 days a week and am on my feet the whole time, so not missing a day of work is more impressive when you think about that. I have clocked it several times over the years and found out that just while I'm at work, I walk 3 miles or more every day!

So you're saying the Royals should start a catcher with a torn MCL over a catcher who is actually able to squat? Makes perfect sense to me.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Not at all. Like I said before, I don't have to RUN at work! I do have to squat sometimes, but just bending over also works for me. That won't work for a catcher.

I've been pretty lucky so far. Only one DL player (Bumgarner). But, since my patron saint of baseball is Pete Incaviglia, I have no doubt it will all go down the tubes shortly.

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

I broke my toe a while back too. No need to see a doctor, even in the middle of baseballs season.
