I’m watching the movie Patriots Day and it looks like Mark Wohlberg was sorting through a 5,000 count box of “junk era” cards. I think I saw some of the green 93? Select cards at least. Anyone else remember seeing sports cards in any other movies?

Simon Birch. The box full of cards he and his friend kept giving back and forth, and then broke into the principal's office to "liberate."

I’ve put that into my saved title search. Hopefully find it on the tube someday.

I'm sure your local library has the DVD.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Blast From the Past. 1999 movie where Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek are parents to Brendan Fraser and have spent 35 years in a nuclear fallout shelter. Brendan Fraser is sent out above ground to get supplies and he tries to sell his vintage baseball cards to pay for the supplies. The unscrupulous dealer only offers him $500 for his collection which includes a Mantle rookie that Alicia Silverstone informs him is worth $6000 on it's own.

My Autograph Collection Website Emphasis is on the 1969 Cubs. This is still a work in progress as is my collection here at TCDB. Value what you collect, don't collect for value.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE! I am quoting it quite often, sometimes while watching baseball games. "Because he MUST!"
As for other movies, I believe in Big when he's a kid, him and his friend are going through a pack of cards. "Need it, need it, got it got it".

Two instantly jump into my head. In Home Alone when Kevin knocks Buzz's shelf over, he steal Buzz's money from the tin set of 1989 Fleer (I always wondered how it was in a tin when I had the set in the cardboard box). When he opens it, there were a couple cards you could see, but I can't remember who they were.
I also remember the movie Mask from the 1980's with Sam Elliott and Cher (not the Jim Carrey movie from the 90's). In it, Rocky's prized possessions were those 1950's Dodgers cards, I remember him pinning them to his cork board and the one player I remember was Pee Wee Reese. As I think of more, I will jump back on!!!

Better Call Saul. In season 2 there is a storyline revolving around stolen baseball cards. But if you watch it you'll gag. He talks about some rare high-end cards that are missing ('52 Mantle for example". When he gets then back everything is in a 5K box and he rummages through it like a box of commons to confirm they are all in there. No top loaders or any other protection.
