Can't go 162-0 if you don't win the first game.

Great day to be alive, if for nothing else but baseball season! Sit back and enjoy, and watch the Astros win their second World Series.

After relocating to the NW in 2005 the Mariners have become my fav AL team and I am glad I got to hear to Dave Niehaus do games, one of the best.
Opening day for me will always be the Nuns rolling the TV's into class and watching the Cubs game for the last couple hours of the school day!

My Padres are off to a good start, shutting out the Giants 2-0 in the top of the 8th!

In a classic traditional matchup, my off-season silent Cubs crushed the Rangers 12-4. Javy hits two homers. Lester is great. Who needs a closer?
Happy opening day, everyone!

Took off early from work, picked up Chipotle for me and my wife- and then watched the Diamondbacks get completely lit up. Not a very good start to the season. Oh well, at least it was still a fun day. My soon to be 2 year old son was even pretending to pitch every time the ball went to home plate.

Sorry about the Diamondbacks but that part about your son is awesome.
Perfecto into the 7th! I am having no delusions about my Tigers but a good solid win to start the season.
