No, I’ve never been much of a sports person.

The first sport I ever played was T-Ball when I was very young. I guess I didn’t like it that much seeing as though I “hung up my cleats” after one year.

The only sport I played religiously was bowling. I loved bowling! It was so fun, and so satisfying seeing the pins come crashing down when the ball hit them. But alas, even I stopped playing that when the team that I was apart of the kind of broke up.

I tried golf (best game improvement irons) for a bit, but I didn’t like that.

There are only two sports I would be interested in playing. Those are volleyball and badminton. I found those sports so fun when we played them in gym class. I absolutely loved it.

Sports can be so fun. But the can also be so boring. That’s why I don’t play any at the moment. But maybe if I see any opportunities I’ll take them.

I play cricket and yesterday won our grand final going back to back for two in a row in two different grades (F grade and then promoted to E grade this year),  both times playing against a baldivas team that had gone through the season undefeated

Congrats on that accomplishment although I'll be the first (and likely not the last ) to say that cricket is amongst the few sports I actually have never quite understood and that's probably due in large part to not a lot of cricketters (?) in New Brunswick or Canada for that matter so not a lot of coverage. In my younger days played centerfield and pitched a little for a couple of years in Little League Baseball in Brandon, Manitoba and did win the "B" Division Championship way, way back in 1965-66. (Yikes!) Other than that played a lot of playground and street football as well as a ton of backyard hockey growing up in Manitoba (i.e. 6 months winter per norm). Badminton in high school (average player but really liked the competition) and tried squash and racquetball through my growing up years (oh wait ..growing up?)  Ok enough rambling for now.

I played basketball from a very young age all through high school.  As an adult I used to play at least once a week, but I’m so out of shape now and my ankles are so busted I haven’t played in an actual pickup game in like 3 years.  I’m afraid I’m going to break something next time I play haha. 

I also played baseball when I was a kid, and played in a few softball leagues an an adult.  

Sorry to say no, too old, the body won't respond anymore. I played Softball for years, in my last playing years I was at least 20 years older than the next guy. Realizing how crazy I was, 43 ft from the batter, with red dots whizzing by me, I turned to coaching the sport and very successful at it. I was extremely athletic back in the day, if I had the chance I would have tried everything. Now, I just sit back, keep score with my gamechanger and enjoy watching my Miss T do it all.!

I played my first year of T-ball when I was six (2001) and played every year up until I ran out of my college eligibility in spring of 2016. Played football from age eight until I graduated high school and even spent a few years on the basketball court before knee injuries made me pursue an alternate path. 

After my last college game my dad came on the field and we had one last catch. During it, I told him that it was time for me to be done. My body hurt, and it was becoming more of a chore to get out there every day. Not that I lost my love for the game - the exact opposite. But I didn’t want to keep grinding my body away for nothing. That’s part of the reason I don’t play softball like a lot of my former teammates do. Instead, I coach - I’ll be spending this spring working with a 14U team, and our American Legion baseball season starts in June.  

Not anymore. Wish I could. My favorite to play was floor hockey. It was the only one I was any good at, too. 

Played 9 holes yesterday (it was over 70 degrees here finally). Played 9 holes last weekend as well (it only was 61 that day). I love golfing. My son and I enter as many of the parent/child tournaments in the area as we can. We have won some prizes thanks to him being as good as he is (and me being able to "hold my own").

When I was younger, I played Little League baseball. I love baseball. I played softball for 2 of the companies I worked for but had to stop after the 2003 season because my back couldn't handle swinging a bat. (Yes, it's odd, a baseball swing kills me, yet a golf swing is only mildly uncomfortable if I do it incorrectly - a proper golf swing doesn't hurt my pair of herniated discs.)

Played goalie in both soccer and hockey when in my 20s and 30s.  My best save was on a penalty shot.  My team, which was worst in the league, was playing a team made up of college soccer players.  Some feller on that team got awarded a penalty and he wasted no time in taking it.  Luckily I dove the correct way and made the save.  The down side was that one of my nuggets swelled to the size of a grapfruit after the game.

The only sport I do now is swimming with Mrs Gunny.  I told her yesterday that if they awarded medals for the slowest swimmer I would win them all.

Do I? Not anymore. Did I? Yes. Baseball, softball, volleyball, golf, tennis, wrestling.
