I'll throw in for today's daily good news: My wife and I celebrate 14 years of wedded happiness today! That's 13.5 years longer than I expected her to put up with me!

The wife and I spent an hour yesterday afternoon raking up SOME of the leaves that have already fallen from our two rather large maple trees in the front yard with the "assistance" of our two local granddaughters (3 and 6). After all was said and done the cost incurred was just two McDonald's Happy Meals. Not a bad exchange ! Now we'll have to wait and see what transpires tomorrow after another Nor'Easter comes barrelling through. Depending on the exact wind direction most of the remaining leaves will either wind up blown against the house or hopefully the wind (gusting to 50 mph) will carry them far enough so as to not have to worry about them, though I expect we'll then receive some of the neighbours instead so another round or two of gathering will likely need to take place next week.

Knowing what was a likely outcome... I actually "pre-raked" the leaves into neat piles that way they had something do dive and roll in while we frantically tried to bag 'em all...

Anyone have any new good news from the weekend ?
The best I can do is. I went to visit my wife's grave yesterday on an absolutely gorgous day 75 miles west of Boston in the very small town of Winchendon Mass. The sky was blue as can be with no clouds and the temperature was about 60 degrees.
