I was there with my sister. AWESOME game, Phillies had their chances. The biggest thing that happened, was Ryan Howard got hurt. I believe he tore his achillies, and was not close to the same hitter afterword.

For a Cardinals fan, that game is a fantastic memory. Unreal tension throughout the whole game. Couldn't believe the Cardinals jumped on Halliday right off the bat and withstood that great Phillies offense. Chris Carpenter was my favorite player at the time and watching him battle like that against his buddy Halliday was amazing. The photos of him screaming for joy at the end of the game may be my all-time favorite baseball photo. Either that one or one of him diving into first base to get the PO in Game 1 of the WS against the Rangers.

I was driving from St. Louis (home) to KC with the family for some reason I don't remember. I turned on the radio in the top of the second. After a couple of innings I was desperately trying to get to my sister-in-law's house before the game ended so I could watch it. I was still about 6-7 miles away when it ended. I wish I had recorded the game.

I remember watching that game. Felt bad for Ryan Howard getting hurt. My son had Howard's girlfriend (now wife and former EAGLES cheerleader) as his second grade teacher. Maybe around 2009 or so. Son born in 2002. Ryan came in to his class and play kickball with them. My son became a big fan of his then.
