On a similar note, another easy form of cancer with a high survival rate if detected early is skin cancer. Don't overlook making sure you and everyone you love has a regular checkup with a dermatologist. I have a lot of moles or birthmarks and had an annual checkup. My doctor saw something on a spot on my back that I never would have seen and even if I did, didn't look like anything serious. She wanted it biopsied and found it to be melanoma in situ. Thank God that means it was at the earliest stage and they removed the area from my back and it appears they got it all before it spread. Had she not got it early, it could have spread and I could have been in bad shape. Now I have to go for checkups every three months, but it just shows, you never know. We and our loved ones might as well all make sure we are at least checking for that small stuff that can go unnoticed, but can also be caught before it causes a problem!
