Since I am Cubs and Baseball all the way I will just come right out and the Cubs were MORONS for getting Quintana Period ! IF the Cubs should have went for ANY 2nd Left handed Pitcher they should have made the move earlier for Sale before the Red Sox swooped in ! It just smacked of desperation on the Cubs part.
The BEST after the Deadline in my was the Astros snatching up Verlander for the Title Run GREAT MOVE !
Nice try for Angels on trying to get someone else to compliment Trout but at this point they should just trade him for the Bankthey just need to go a different route in my opinion. Time for the Angels to just start over.

Got my collection kind of split up in 3 places in two seperate states. So I am willing to trade but might take me a bit to find the cards from my Trade / Sell list. So please message me first so that I can take some time to find the cards you would be interested in. Whether it's an hour or 2 months or etc. I would get back to you after locating the card or cards.

Nunez has been a spark plug atop the Red Sox batting order. Garcia was such a bad trade for the Yankees they have basically sent him to the bullpen and brought Montgomery back up for the rotation. Darvish is not looking that good for the Dodgers, but that is a trade that we need to wait until October to see.
I hated to see Verlander go from Detroit. I used to go see him pitch at ODU and then I was transfered to the Detroit area a few years after he started, and have seen him pitch a number of games here.

Honestly, I am so lost this year with the MLB. The preseason trades and acquisitions were confusing enough, but then all the mid to late-season trades start happening and most of them I can't understand. The top teams wanting to add pitchers and power at the plate makes complete sense and even adding defensive players makes sense to me. But the teams that will not make the playoffs just ditching their stars has never made sense to me! Now we have a half-dozen playoff contenders making trades to get their team better for a few months, but most will suffer when the season is over. Then the teams that traded away their stars over the past month or so will be in a hole in 2018. Every team is locked into their farm teams being able to produce key players for the next season!

JD Martinez has been raking. Just crushed 4 homers the other day and the Diamondbacks have been steamrolling everyone in their path recently going for a second straight sweep of the Dodgers tonight,

I disagree that Quintana was a bad deal for the Cubs. He is having a down year but he is still young and look at his past 5 years. Also, the Cubs now control his very team friendly contract through 2020. I am a White Sox fan and I was sad to see Q go but the Sox got a nice haul for Q and the Cubs got a very solid left handed #3 starting pitcher for the next 3 years.

Agreed. I view Quintana more as the Red Sox trade for Pomeranz last year than the trade for Sale this year. The big difference is that Quintana has a much longer proven track record than Pomeranz did. He will be a solid rotation piece for the Cubs for years barring injury of course. He will be a solid contributing #3. Looking at him to be an ace is unfair.

The O's giving up Kim and others for Hellickson. He has stunk up the place so far.

I am Cubs and baseball all the way, and Quintana's looked pretty sharp. 6-3, with a 3.88 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with the Cubs? Solid. I'll judge this trade after next year. I think it was a quiet, club-improving trade. Different strokes....

What did Cleveland do (if anything) to set them up for 22 straight wins? After that run, I might have to change my AL WS pick from Houston to Cleveland!

Another Cubs fan who sees the Quintana trade as a positive for the Cubs. Zip is an extremely knowledgible White Sox fan, and she said the Cubs offered Schwarber for Sale. Sox said no. I don't blame them.
