Yeah I agree, we have had more crime than sports lately so that tells you something. Idle hands = no sports?? Not sure but some of the criminals I'd like to take a bat too, does that count as going to a sport?

The last sporting event I attended was a Canadian Football League game at BMO Field in Toronto this summer. The Argonauts were playing the Ottawa Redblacks, and won by a field goal at the last second. It was Doug Flutie bobblehead night.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

It was actually the first bobblehead giveaway I ever attended. I feared I wouldn't be able to get one, but like most Argos game unfortunately, the stadium was only half full :(

College football. Michigan 27-20 Indiana. Overtime. I've never seen so many penalty flags. One play had 3 pens on 3 different defensive players. The ref had to announce them all even though 2 declined. The parking situation is TERRIBLE at IU football if the crowd is big. We probably walked a mile. No exaggeration. Michigan did NOT look like a top 25 team, though the running back had a huge game. Maybe 200 yds. Probably no more games until 10/27 Danville Dashers hockey vs expansion North Carolina team.

Sounds more like a CFL game Switzr ..... LOL !!! They use penalty flags like confetti some days!! And parking at ANY event is a nightmare. Unless it our local Jr A hockey club, the arena only sits about 1200 people so three blocks walk MAX.

I don't remember what they're called. They're based in Winston Salem, I think. But they go by North Carolina in the team name, not the city. One of the two new FHL teams this season, but two others folded, so we are still at six.
