Hilarious thread guys! My geese left over a month ago, but I'm pretty sure they are East Coast Canadians. Seriously, I do have a family of Canadian Geese that visit every year. I have a small island in my pond that they use for nesting and an open area b/t the pond and the road where Mom and Pop stand guard. You do not want to get near them or the pond in June and July. They'll call in the rest of the flock from the neighbors' lake if you get close to the eggs or babies! I'd never seen a couple dozen geese standing around until a couple of years ago. Flying, yes, but never so many just standing around along a pond being lookouts. I have pictures too.

It's funny (not ha-ha funny) that ranfan goes from talking about being warmer than me to dropping below freezing and now my area is in warmer than normal temps. After all the tropical stuff has moved on, we've been 8F to 10F above normal for a week and forecast to stay that way until at least next week. This "September heat wave" has been nice though. I don't mind mid-to-upper 80's when there is very little humidity. I did have to finally force the A/C on in the mancave though. Without the upstairs A/C running as much, it got pretty warm down there.

Yup as we say out here in western canada, if you dont like the forcast just wait 15 minutes. =) The CG are all over out here right now feeding off the harvested fields. Thousands and thousands fly over head, stop to eat and rest and then head south where ever that may be.

I am still having trouble mentally converting Celsius to Farenheit....multiply by 9/5, add 32......subtract 32, divide by 5/9.....oh heck.

If I don't have the general numbers in my head, I have a real simple way of converting F to C. I just look at the thermometer in my aquarium. It has F on the left and C on the right.
