Just you all wait, in 5 years time, Trey Mancini will be among the biggest names in the AL and Judge will be a blast from the past.

Cy Young was a cheater too. He threw spitballs, sweat balls, tobacco balls, tomacco balls, snot balls, etc.

I half expected this to turn into a discussion about cheating. I was merely saying that when a young player has an outstanding season, people have high expectaions for that player. I don't think Judge cheated. The more likely scenerio is the baseballs themselves. This year was a record year for homeruns, surpassing the all-time record from the 2000 season. Huge kid + bouncy baseballs = Homerun record.

Boy, switzr1, that's a great Bob Dylan impersonation with that list you came up with.

The spit ball wasn't outlawed until after he was retired from pitching.

Once all the Topps Now variations for this (autographed and non-autographed) are released, the buybacks should be available in 2019 flagship, knowing Topps.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I've read the same thing. Now, any ball that touches home plate must be removed from play. I heard an ex-outfielder just yesterday admit that he used to skip balls to the infielders after a fly out, because balls that resulted in fly outs weren't removed from play, and that bounce pass might give his pitcher an advantage.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I just got the Tools Now email. The 1/1 version of the Judge auto is only $4,999.99 ! What a deal! Especially when he's signing a bunch of other cards that are identical to it except the color.
