Folks,
2018 promises to be a very exciting year for the TCDB community that plays fantasy baseball.
- We will be playing the roto league (last the past 2 years)
- We will offer the chance to play in a head to head (h2h) league* (first time for us)
- We will have to make some decisions on how to handle Shohei Ohtani
These 3 things are what I need to know from you. Please, private messages only.
- Do you wish to play roto only, h2h only, or both?
- If you played last year and do not wish to participate at all this year, I need to know.
- Shohei Ohtani - Yahoo is handling him as 2 different players - as a pitcher and as a hitter. They are allowing each league to pick one of two methods to handle this
- If a manager drafts him as either, the manager gets him for both (but counts as 2 players)
- If one manager drafts him as a pitcher, a different manager can draft him as a hitter
Please let me know your preference.
Please get back to me by January 21st, so we can see what needs to be set up and everything.
Yes, I said we. We're not quite ready to announce why it's we, but it's good. That will be announced on Jan 21st!
And of course we welcome EVERYONE to join us. If we exceed a certain number, we may have to have multiple leagues per style, but that's ok. We'll do what it takes to allow anyone to play. And don't forget, it's completely free. So if you've wanted to try it out, and were afraid to do so, you can't find a friendlier group - hey, you already know most of us!

* - The introduction of a head to head league requires a minimum number of managers. I've had several people ask about it the past 2 years, so we'll have to see just how many want to do it (or try it).
