It does make sense. I hadn't thought of that. You're smarter than the average frozen penguin!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Having done the cross Canada trip many times, north of Lake Superior, South of Lake Superior, and the Minneapolis-Chicago-Detroit route, I recommend going through the States, crossing anywhere in Saskatchewan (I grew up just north of Minot, 40 miles north of the border). Get down to the interstate that takes you around Minneapolis, through Wisconsin and down through Chicago, then over to Detroit. Lots of places to stop for the night. Back in 1984, I even slept in the back of my Ranger in the open air in a Rest Stop along the interstate. Ok, I wouldn't so it today. Chicago has a toll route through it - back then it was 35 cents per toll / seven tolls. This was by far the most relaxing route.
Marineland is in Niagara; Canada's Wonderland is in Toronto; Canada's Funny Farm is in Ottawa with a second park in Queen's Park (Toronto). Please plan to Take Kathleen Wynne back with you, please, please, please.

The US side of the Falls is a New York State Park. According to the web site, the park is open 24/7 and has an RV accessible parking lot. Sounds to me like they wouldn't stop you from parking overnight, but it's probably not as cheap as a Wal-Mart.
The Canadian side is flashy and full of fun touristy stuff to do, but if you are interested in the history of the area, and want to see a more 'natural' version of the falls, the park on the US side is worth a visit too.

Billy, were you using the "one camera in each hand" trick at Niagara Falls, like at that car show?

No need to tow the camper to Toronto. It's only about 1-1/2 hour drive from Marineland to the Hall.
Don't forget your chance to experience an authentic diner while in the good ol' USA.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Told my wife about this thread while at the son's doc appt and she had a good laugh. I drive a Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L Hemi gas job ..... 1 1/2 hour drives in it = $60 in fuel or more depending on fuel price this summer, sadly once we find a place to park the camper it will be a few days travel and the rest parked on our butts. That is why location is key. Wal-Mart is only for the drive there and back. Once we are landed then a Park is what we were thinking.

Now remember Ranford...don't try going over the falls in a barrel!
