Ed Farmer Forum

Some have may have seen that Ed Farmer passed aways yesterday.  The White Sox are my alternate favorite team and I enjoyed listing to Ed and DJ call many Sox games.  Here is the link to a nice reflective piece on Farmer and how broadcasters keep us connected to the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRWStLcvF9E

I noticed his passing and looked through my collection gallery of his cards and looked up articles about his death. I confess, I had no idea that he was the broadcaster for Sox games for so long. (Cubs fan here). So he wasn't just a generally mediocre pitcher who had one great year. Not that it matters -- a death is a death. But I now realize that a lot more people were affected by his death than I thought.

He was a Chicago kid from the Southside like me.  Went to St. Rita Highschool and made it to the bigs and pitched for his favorite team The White Sox.  RIP Farmio.
