I just got my 2016 Topps baseball factory set in the mail a couple of days ago--exactly 1 week after its official release. I chose to get the rookie variation bonus version of the factory set as I've typically done throughout much of this decade. Besides buying a couple of $1 packs to save the wrapper, these are my first 2016 Topps cards as I tend to wait for the factory set release each year before delving into each new year's releases. For the past few years, Topps also offered a chrome refractor or gold chrome bonus version to their factory sets along with the 5 rookie variation bonuses, but I didn't see that this year. Regardless, I think Topps put together another winner with great photography and a cool design. The 2015 Topps set will be hard to beat though, which just may be one of the best Topps base sets for the 21st century.
