2016 Star Trek Beyond Blu-Ray Oversized Character Cards Non-Sport Forum

I know that this was discussed recently but....

Do we associate the actor name's to a character card if the actor's name is not printed on the card? I think the answer is no but I want to ask before I start editing.

I would think that if a character name is on the card, that is the name to be listed on the checklist. The only time I think the actor should be listed would be on an autograph card.

Listing the actor's name invalidates the search and stat features for both the actor AND the character. Unless it specifically mentions the actor, like the first series of Star Wars cards, or autographs, it should match what's on the card and be tagged to that person.

Check out this card of Jaylah and McCoy from Star Trek. There's no name listed (neither actor or charachter). The Name Field has the charachter name and the card has been linked to both the charachter and the actor. I think it looks pretty good but.....

I noticed it because I was working on all the PIDs with birthdays today making sure everyone has a sample photo.  It is Sofia Boutella's (the actress who plays Jaylah) birthday today and she did not have a sample card. However, the only card she has is a card of "Jaylah". It doesn't seem right to make a character she plays her sample card and that got me wondering if that card should even be linked to her.

Then I looked at the rest of the cards, this set is also Chris Pine's and Simon Pegg's only cards. Since they aren't in make-up it wouldn't be terrible to have their charachter cards as samples.

That's because it's a card of the character, not the actor.
