2018 Topps Baseball Forum

Hey there, just recognized that the Opening Day set is listed twice. One in "2018 Topps Baseball" as parallels/inserts and the other as a complete set (as it should be when you ask me). Any reason for that, maybe I am missing something.

I see. At least the auto subset (Opening Day Autographs ODA-xx) from Opening Day shouldn't be there.

The insert set you mentioned were inserted into Series 1 packs, they are listed correctly.

So they put a subset in 2 different releases, I see. Despite, Kepler card was neither SN10 nor in the Topps Series 1 release available.

Noah Syndergaard and Mike Trout are in both sets as well. 

Quick timeout though. The checklist from the Topps flagship set says 16 cards, but 17 are listed. Kepler isn't on the Cardboard Connection checklist. rmpaq5 added it separately back in 2018 - maybe Ryan can shed some light?

I don't think this is an issue of duplicated cards. I think the issue would be if the Kepler exists in the flagship insert set or not.

The Kepler card was not inserted into Series 1 packs. It should be deleted and collection info should be moved to the Opening Day insert autograph set.

Has anyone seen any of the Series 1 retail autographs? BCP says they are SN10. Beckett says they are SN5.

And this is why the responsibility of the IRs submitted falls on the submitter. Please do your research BEFORE submitting the IR. The OP in this thread, although attempting to say that we had something listed twice here, at least started a discussion about it before just submitting several IRs trying to get sets removed because they thought they were duplicates.

Apparently, the other IR (the one SDC references) was NOT researched and now the fact that have an error in the database is incumbent on THAT member (I don't think rmpaq5 should take the blame, after all, in the IR section, all we're working under the assumption that the member who submitted the IR did their research and knows for a fact what they are requesting is 100% correct).

That said, let's get the correct IRs in to fix these sets. And please understand that we don't have a "reseacrh crew". A crowd-sourced site means that EVERYONE is a member of the "research crew", so please play your part. Thank you.
