I've already decided I'm calling it the "Slip-n-Slide" set. I like it better than the previous two years, but I was hoping for something a little bold like 2015.

Same old, same old. It's like the autos of the last 20 years. Make one minor change and pass it off as a new model. Topps must have fired the design department.

I get the complaints about it being so similar to recent years but I do like it a little more than recent years.
I hope full stats have returned but I fear the big changes may be adding the number of twitter followers a person has or the most reposted tweet of the year.
I'm a sucker for the 83 design so I like the inserts shown.

Seems like the flagship set is taking up the "single bar" design that Stadium Club ditched.
Not feeling it.

I really like it - far superior to the 2016 and 2017 issues.

As someone else said the last 3 years (2016, 17, 18) the designs look similar just as 2013 and 2014 for me looked similar. For 2016 many myself included disliked the cloud/smoke feature. I also agree about the full bleed or no border designs. I miss the borders especially for the Flagship base design. It is fine for the higher end stuff but for Flagship the borders make them more like cards of old and gives them an identity. I also don't like these sneek previews some 6 months to a year before the product is actually produced. Part of the thrill of collecting cards for me is always the surprise of what the new cards look like. Now I see them so far before they come out that by the time they do come I think I already have some.

I think all my reactions have already been stated, but I thought I'd weigh in anyway. I like the borderless cards...once in a while. Not Every. Single. Year. Topps really needs to go back to having borders for a few years. Not sure about the slip and slide graphic. Maybe they could find something a bit more, I don't know, baseball related?
And yes, I really need the lifetime stats to come back. They'll still have room for a twitter account, if that's essential. Never liked vertical backs because I don't think they'd have enough column space for all the relevant stats. At some point, I'll get fed up and switch brands or just stop collecting modern cards. I hope it doesn't come to that.
And I agree that I don't actually like these previews, although I didn't have the will power to ignore the link and this thread.

Maybe for 2018 Topps can have a Twitter/Instagram parallel and have them be on the front of the card, instead on the back. I mean, they only had 18 parallel sets last year, I think they can bump that up to 20.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really miss borders. Hey I like them.

I though that I already commented on this one. The 2018 Topps set looks great on the front. I wonder what the backs look like. Incomplete statistics would make the set a bust in my opinion. I hope they fix that.
