Printing Plates?

So...i'm a bit confused. i just bought a printing plate off ebay for 2016-17 Panini Flawless but at the bottom it has a 2018 copyright date. Is this where I would add the printing plates or under the set they were released in? i feel like i just saw a post on the front page for this similar issue with another panini set...
