1991 Topps Baseball Forum

According to Beckett, #479 Bob Patterson is notated with a UER with "a decimal point between 7 and 9". I just looked at my card, and there's nothing on his stats that have those numbers together and if they are referring to the card number itself, there's no decimal point there and neither does any scans I see here or there. Does anyone have the error that Beckett is describing or is it an error on their part?

Probably and error on their part. We don't even list it as a UER on here. A lot of their descriptions on cards, amongst other things, are completely out of date.

I may be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that they put false info in their lists to try to deter copy and paste.  This might be one of those?

I have never been able to figure this one out but I assume that Beckett received a few Pattersons in 1991 that had a neat print mark between the 7 and 9 of the card number, just a theory.

However, Patterson's card has two different errors within his stats. A decimal in front of the 18 and another has a dash ( - ) before another stat. Multiple copies form a variety of sources confirm them as variations and not print debris.
