I put the first card forward to be removed...along with a note in the IR to ADMIN about how absolutely terrible these are, photographed, sleeved, crooked etc...he only removed the front of the first card.

I'm going to assume that admin has some sort of life and spending their time removing pictures probably isn't a very rewarding use of it. I'd hope that they are with their significant other, family or friends. I can't imagine how much work they already put into this site.

UKboogie, I've mentioned this in another thread, but I'll say it again. I think you're exactly right, and I believe that's part of why this policy has changed. Admin can't spend all his time removing all of the crappy images and still expect to get things done that the membership has asked, let alone maintain any sort of life outside of this site. 

While I think Ryan's IR (which I seconded, and is now awaiting Admin) will be an exception to this rule due to the extremely poor images, I do understand Admin's intent to lessen his workload.

Admin could always relinquish image removal permission to three Level 8s. If three Level 8s agree on removal, no reason it shouldn't be removed.

Ryan, I hadn't looked at the IRs before I posted that. That's frustrating to hear.

Chuck, I don't disagree. But that could have always been the case. I assume (and really, don't know for sure, I could be totally wrong) that Admin always wanted final say on removal of things that affected member points - that being scans and checklists. Otherwise, three Level 8 members could theoretically conspire to remove a ton of images that were submitted by a particular member, problem or not, in an effort to drive their point total down.

Again, that's my assumption. I can't say for sure what Admin's reasoning or intentions are. I do know that many members are upset over this change in policy, which is alarming enough for me to worry.

Yes Chuck, Organizations do delegate their duties. Yes, the L8s should be assigned different duties. They worked to reach that level, now give them certain responsibilities that come along with the permissions. Makes too much sense. ADMIN has to realize that the TCDb has grown exponentially in the past few years, and he needs help. Let's say Points for Power.
