1992-93 Upper Deck MVP Holograms Basketball Forum

I happened to notice today in my collection that the 92-93 Upper Deck MVP Holograms set is in a set by itself listed under "Box Sets".   I may be mistaken but I could have sworn that this was listed previously as an insert set for 92-93 Upper Deck.  

Anyone happen to have any info on this?

It may have been listed as an insert, but box set is the correct listing. UD issued several boxed sets around that time. I need to check and see if I have scanned the box yet, if not, I will as it's sitting within arm's reach.

Cool, thanks for the info.  I currently have 1 card from that set organized with the 92-93 Upper Deck release.  I will need to change the order of my collection and move it behind the Swahili and Cantonese 92-93 Upper Deck sets.

Are those real sets, or a joke? If so, I need to hunt down examples of them!

Haha, no just a joke.  Anytime I get random early 90s cards from Upper Deck or Collector's Choice I have to examine the backs to make sure I don't mix up the languages lol.  And OCD has me check Google Translate on each one to be sure.

I had to look that up the other day, too. I have 1 card from that set, but since it was a higher number, I just assumed it was part of a boxed set.

Funny, I sorted a box of collectors choice basketball only to find out the box I had acquired included some of the language variations sets. I'm thinking it is 95-96. I gave up at the time. I have not gone back to try to seperate out the languages or enter them in the database yet. Would not surprise me a bit if they had done these too.

As Billy noted the set listing was corrected. But oddly the "Album Offer" coupon/card which came in the hologram boxed set is still listed under the main Upper Deck set for that year.
