I just added the last two cards to complete my 1993-94 Topps Premier Gold set, series 1 & 2 !!
Not that it was a particularly difficult task, but a slow, piece-by-piece accumulation through trades & random purchases at shows or shops. I got close a couple years ago, soon after joining TCDB, but I noticed a few of the cards were in "less than presetnable" shape - so I had to get a few replacements.
They're not worth much, and the gold bars are nearly impossible to read, but there is the satisfaction of completing a full set.

Congrats on completing a set the very old-fashioned way. :)

Congrats!!!
I'm slowly working on a few Topps football Gold sets. Like you, mostly through trades and a few purchases here and there. It is slow going. That makes the accomplishment that much more meaningful.

Way to go!!!!
Was looking for a card (only local releases) of Derrie Nelson (1985 era) for over 30 years finally got one Thanks to PSAbolts from here. I guest that was my white whale. From a small town in Nebraska he was an 8th grader when I was a senoir.
It feels great when we finish something even if it is a $5 card.

Congratulations!
I’ve never completed a set without buying it that way to start.

Congrats though I am not sure what sport we are talking about. I am in the process of building the 1993 and 1994 Topps baseball gold sets. Yes a difficult task though every so often a few are offered in trade.
To all, if you want to create a thread about a particular set, use the forum link on the overview page to start the thread. In this case, someone interested would have had a link directly to the set being discussed. Not a criticism in this case but a suggestion to all (it has Ben mentioned on other threads); Just trying to get everyone to use the tools as best as possible.

It was the hockey set, BTW. I assumed that was implied, as Topps only used the "Premier" brand name with hockey, though there were several OPC Premier sets in baseball too.
Thanks for the replies & good luck to those chasing similar "white whales".

Congrats. It is always a satisfying feeling when you finish a set you have been building. There are many many sets I've been building since they came out..

Hockey Geek knew!!! =) Way to go, I have never had the patience to finish a parallel set. Base sets are tough enough!
