I have a handful of cards that say # of 20 on the back. The front is the same as regular edition cards, but there is a silver logo from their team on the front. What kind of insert of set is this?

Those should have been sold as team sets. If you go to the hockey section and go to the 97-98 year. At the bottom there is a team set section and all the score teams sets of x of 20 are right there. They did the same thing for baseball in 98.
