At this point, do we need to continue using the old Beckett standard of identifying errors and corrections in this 1981 Donruss set with P1 & P2 designations, instead of this site's standard methods?

No. In fact, we've already moved away from it in the 1981 Fleer set (since I know that one ver well, I took care of that a while ago). The Donruss set isn't as familiar to me, but I think I could do a respectable job on it, If I get around to it. :) Maybe someone else who is really into errors and variations could help on this one.

I agree.  We should change to ERR/COR and VAR.  I looked at a few VARs and they're actually ERR/CORs.

Yep.  I just added a Del Unser and was surprised to see those abbreviations still there.  His is an ERR/COR for sure. Missing the heading in the Triples column.  Thanks guys.

I took a crack at it.  Should be all set, but somebody please feel free to double-check my work.

Only issues I couldn't resolve are with card number 7 and 524.  For both of those, the corrected version of the card is listed as the 'a' version and the error version is 'b'.  Not sure how to flip them, or if it really matters in the grand scheme of things.

Another issue I see is that the checklists are given card numbers 601-605, yet they don't actually have card numbers.  They should all be listed as NNO (albeit 4 out of 5 checklists have an 'a' and a 'b' version because they have error and corrected versions).

As an aside, I'm still in need of the corrected version of card 601 (first checklist with the correct spelling of card number 51, Donohue) if anybody has one available!

#7 & #524 listed correctly.

Most of the ERR / COR are numbered incorrectly with the "a" / "b" listed in the card field. I got through #87, but I actually have to get back to work. I'll check again tonight and fix any remaining issues but if someone has time and wants something to do......have fun!

personnally, i think the whole 80's to mid 90's was one big ERR

Just be careful when flipping A's and b's that you don't switch the actual version of the card. Otherwise, every person who has one of these cards in their collections would now suddenly have the opposite card showing in their collection.  If the error is listed second and needs to be first, it's a job for admin, or there will be a lot of angry members!

Quilty....did that! Sometimes I forget that the database is MORE than just a checklist.
