58 of the 80 cards in the All-New Series 1 (ANS1) set were actually reproductions from what should have been a 1989 release of an 82-card Original Series 16 (OS16) set. The reproduction cards from ANS1 were #1a/b-#30a/b with the exception of #22a/b and #31a/b-#40a/b, which were all new designs. The 58 reproductions from OS16 still left 24 cards unproduced. Topps later went and produced 16 more of those OS16 cards in the 3 Flashback Series (FBS1-3) sets, and then again in their Chrome Series 1 (CS1) Lost Cards Subset #L7a/b-#L14a/b. So with the 58 + 16 = 74 reproductions, there are still 8 reproduction cards missing from the 82-card OS16 set. Has anyone heard of those last 8 cards ever being reproduced?
