Topps Omissions

Topps cards from the 1970s that (arguably) are missing all star designations or other markers. Topps in the 1970s was occasionally a little sloppy about their all star teams, and these cards are my suggestions for the missing all stars.

1. 1977 Topps #354 Mark Van Eeghen

Ran for 1012 yards in 1976, but was not rewarded with the "1000 Yarder" marker. He gets the head of the list here.

2. 1975 Topps #300 Reggie Jackson

My suggestion for missing 1975 AL All Star OF. Started 1974 All Star Game.

3. 1978 Topps #110 Richie Zisk

My suggestion for missing 1978 AL All Star OF. Started 1977 All Star Game.

4. 1979 Topps #525 Freddie Patek

My suggestion for missing 1979 AL All Star SS. Started 1979 All Star Game.

5. 1981 Topps #415 Ben Oglivie

My suggestion for missing 1981 AL All Star OF. Started 1980 All Star Game.

6. 1976 Topps #200 Terry Metcalf

My suggestion for missing 1976 NFC All Pro RB. 1st team all conference AP, SN, UPI.

7. 1976 Topps #380 Art Shell

My suggestion for missing 1976 AFC All Pro T. 1975 1st team all conference all pro, Sporting News, UPI.

8. 1981 Topps #23 Louie Kelcher

My suggestion for missing 1981 AFC All Pro DT. 1st team all conference PFW.

9. 1981 Topps #90 Donnie Shell

My suggestion for missing 1981 AFC All Pro S. 1st team all conference PFW, AP, UPI.

10. 1981 Topps #440 Ed Murray

My suggestion for missing 1981 NFC All American K. 1st team all nfl PFW, AP.
