Wow, you went all in on this list. The relievers create the most interesting analysis of who belongs in the HOF. Anyway, great job. All the way to Joe Borowski. Impressive.

Saves are such a weird stat. The role of relievers has changed drastically since the stat was introduced in 1969. Look at the cards listed here and the oldest you find is 1967. IMHO Closers receive way more credit than they deserve for the amount of "work" they do. Interesting that Trevor Hoffman is now a HOFer whil Lee Smith is not. Good article on that here. |
