Happy Birthday

31. 2012 Upper Deck MLS #180 Alain Rochat

Born: 2/1/1983

Reason Chosen: No real reason, I just had a stack of soccer cards close by when I started the collection and will likely be a placeholder until I find another card. I do like the jerseys though.

32. 1994-95 SkyBox Premium #281 Sean Elliott

Born: 2/2/1968

Reason Chosen: I liked the old Spurs jerseys and I remember Elliott playing so I chose it.

33. 2015 Topps #633 Skip Schumaker

Born: 2/3/1980

Reason Chosen: I always liked Skip for some reason and while I remember him most with the Cardinals, I chose this one because it was a double and the first one of his I found.

34. 1990-91 Pro Set #264 Martin Hodge

Born: 2/4/1959

Reason Chosen: None, but I remember buying and opening a box of these and I believe this was a double, so I used it.

35. 1990-91 Pro Set #139 Lee Martin

Born: 2/5/1968

Reason Chosen: Same as above, but I do like the Sharp jersey.

36. 2016 Leaf Babe Ruth Collection #24 Babe Ruth

Born: 2/6/1895

Reason Chosen: While I was never a fan of Babe, I knew I had to include him if possible. This was a double I pulled from a series of repacks and I liked how he looked with the boxing gloves on, so I picked it.

37. 1989 Topps #612 Dan Quisenberry

Born: 2/7/1953

Reason Chosen: I had to include a Quis card of some sort, even if he is wearing a Cardinals jersey. I might replace it, but doubt it.

38. 2007-08 Upper Deck First Edition #154 Alonzo Mourning

Born: 2/8/1970

Reason Chosen: Big fan of Zo, so I had to include him in the set.

39. 1994 Collector's Choice #164 Todd Lyght

Born: 2/9/1969

Reason Chosen: Loved the set, love the helmet, love the jersey. Just hate how they left St. Louis (though this was before they came there, but still). SCREW STAN KROENKE!

40. 2008 PopCardz #13 Emma Roberts

Born: 2/10 (no year given on card)

Reason Chosen: I'm not the biggest Emma Roberts fan, but this was a double, and was close by when I started the collection.

I really liked this list!  My favorites parts are the write up on the Mike Marshall card.  I have a Luke Walker from 1969 that is folded and wrinkled and trimmed because I kept it in my back pocket for good luck when I was a kid.  I wouldn't trade that card for anything now.  Also the Eddie Kennison write up brought back memories of some of the Pittsburgh Pirates boxes I bought off ebay, now I have very, very, very many Steve Cookes.

Good Job!

Thank you.  I really need to scan the Marshall card so it will show up on here.  I miss the days where buying a box off ebay was cheap enough to enjoy.  Now shipping just about kills any deal.
