Billy Kingsley

Elfrid Payton's father played in the Canadian football league. He has cards. I have a couple others just have to remember where my notes are. I planned to do a blog post on this topic but never got around to it.

Dale Jarrett's son Zach was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles but I don't know if he has cards yet. I'll nab one on COMC if he does.

Great list. It's one of my idiosyncrasies.  Every time I see a player with a familiar last name, I think to myself, "hmmm, I wonder if he's related to..." and I have to look it up or it'll drive me crazy.  And it always sticks in my mind when sports announcers mention father-son sport connections.  Don't know why I didn't think of doing this list. Must have been all those hollering managers distracting me.

Wayne Gretzky's son Trevor Gretzky was drafted by the Chicago Cubs, but I didn't see a card for him.
Jack Snow (football) and J.T. Snow (baseball)
Dan Petry (baseball) and Jeff Petry (hockey)
Manu Tuiasosopo (football) and Matt Tuiasosopo (baseball)
Lonnie Shelton (basketball) and L.J. Shelton (football)
Kyle Rote (football) and Kyle Rote, Jr. (soccer)

These might only be known because they're local Redskins.
Pat Richter (football) and Barry Richter (hockey)
Mark Schlereth (football) and Daniel Schlereth (baseball), they even have a card together

Thanks Billy and Chuck.  I'll add these tonight.  I feel like there's another one in MLS but I'm blank on it.

Did any Hollerin' Managers have sons in other sports?  Maybe they didn't like baseball because their dad hollered too much?

Jerry Goff (baseball) and Jared Goff (football)

And a basketball expert might remember the Chicago Bull player who's dad was a famous tennis player.

That's Joakim Noah. Forgot about him. I'll see if his dad got a card. Thanks again.

Austin Carr (Basketball) and his son Austin Carr Jr. (football).  Junior played on the Saints this year.  I know he has a Panini Northwestern card this year...

The two Austin Carr's are not related.  Austin Carr Jr. is not a Jr., his name is Austin Durant Mozée Carr, son of Evan Carr and Janine Mozée.

Thanks for the shout out Switr1, I did not know that. I am terrible with trivia like that. I know Darnell Nurse has famous siblings and cousins/uncle but don't think his dad was in sports. But how about Karen Percy-Lowe and Keegan Lowe, she was a pro skier and Keegan is an Oilers prospect.

Good call on that Ranford, but I don't see where Karen has any cards.  Does Bill Ranford have a son who plays miniature golf?

Looks like Joakim Noah's dad, Yannick Noah, does have a card.

Thanks Chuck  I looked him up and forgot to add him.

A rare combination, Moe Racine was a Grey Cup winner and his son Bruce Racine was a Stanley Cup winner.

I love this thread and this list!  Great work.

What about this?
Hasson Arbubakrr is the father of Hassan Whiteside

Yannick Noah's father, Zacharie, was a soccer player.  That's a 3-sport family!  :-)

There are a few Father/Daughter combos (like Karl Malone, Randall Cunningham, Kiki Vandeweghe), and also a few sibling combos.

Don't forget Jerry Goff (baseball) and Jared Goff (football) and

Moe Racine was a Grey Cup winner and his son Bruce Racine was a Stanley Cup winner.

And that biggy I mentioned earlier...it looks like Wayne Gretzky's son, Trevor Gretzky has some baseball cards
