Played in 130 games in 1947 batting .295 in 533 at bats with 13 home runs.

Returned to Sioux City in 1954 when he batted .266 in 421 at bats with 10 home runs. He also made 1 relief pitching appearance.

He managed 1954 team to a fifth place finish with a record of 78-75.

Eventually played in 14 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1954 batting an even .300 in 30 at bats.

Played in a total of 12 games for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox in 1954-1955.
