2013-14 NBA Rookie Reviewby Billy Kingsley - 61 cards (Last updated on May 21, 2014) |
41. 2013-14 Panini #170 Gal Mekel
Only the second NBA player from Israel, Mekel joined the Mavs as an undrafted free agent, playing in 31 games and also in the D-League. |
42. 2013-14 Panini #183 Tony Mitchell
Taken 37th in the draft, Mitchell played in 37 games and the D-League. In an odd occurrence, there was also a rookie on the Bucks named Tony Mitchell as well, making it the first time I'm aware of two rookies with the same name. There are more than a dozen names that have had more than one player with that name, but they all came into the NBA at different seasons. The Mitchell who played on the Bucks did not get any cards. |
43. 2013-14 Panini #175 Shabazz Muhammad
The highly touted Muhammad was taken 14th in the draft, but spent most of his time in the D-League. He did get into 37 NBA games. |
44. 2013-14 Panini #191 Erik Murphy
Taken 49th in the draft, Murphy was surprisingly released by the Bulls just days before the playoffs began, and was quickly picked up by the Utah Jazz. He played 24 games for the Bulls. |
45. 2013-14 Panini - Rising Tide Autographs #12 Toure Murry
Toure' Murray played 51 games for the Knicks, he was not drafted. He played 47 games in the D-League. |
46. 2013-14 Panini #200 Nemanja Nedovic
The Serbian Nedovic was the 30th, final pick in the first round of the draft, and played in 24 games for the Warriors. |
48. 2013-14 Panini #169 Otto Porter
The third pick in the draft, Otto Porter Jr. was all but invisible on the year. He played in 37 games, but only 319 total minutes. The first time I saw him play was when the Wizards were blowing out the Pacers in game 5 of their playoff series, and I'm not sure he even got to touch the ball, he was on the court for so little time. |
49. 2013-14 Panini #199 Phil Pressey
Pressey was undrafted, but got a lot of playing time with the Celtics, playing 75 games and even starting 11 of them. He is the son of former Celtic Paul Pressey. |
50. 2013-14 Pinnacle #30 Miroslav Raduljica
Raduljica was undrafted, but played 48 games for the Bucks. He is from Serbia. |
