Holy research, Batman!! Well done Cigars! Very interesting list. Those poor souls. I would like to see more players on football cards nowadays. I like the cards of the OL, DL, LB, DB that aren't the stars only of yesteryear.
Awesome tribute to those who deserved a bit of recognition for making it to the big leagues. Don't forget the big guy in the green & yellow "jersey" on Terry Metcalf's card #43... Busch "Power" Alley, #(3)76 St. Louis Cardinals 4 seasons with the Cardinals, 1973-1976 ...though he does have over 10 cards of his own in MLB sets :)
somebody had a lot of time on their hands, but this is gret recongintion! well done!

I checked the gamelogs. Doubiago played only 3 games in his career. Once against the Raiders, 4 Oct 87. But Kenney didn't play in that game, Stevens was the quarterback. Prior to 1987, #66 was worn by Brad Budde in 1985. So the picture must be from 1985 when Kenney and #66 played in the same game against the Raiders.
Great list! I found a Seahawk to add to my roster project. Anyone know of a baseball and basketball list of similar appearnaces by players who didn't have their own cards?
George Hasenorhl (# 72) at the Yale Bowl in 1974. However, is this a "post-career" card? He played only in '74. ******** I noticed the list has Larron Jackson and Henry Reed, but they have '72 Sunoco stamps.
https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/3226/cid/811973/1975-Topps-293-Charley-Wade The above card has Jim Kelly (#88), a reserve tight end for the 1974 Chicago Bears. |
