Best name ever I thought was Fair Hooker - football player from the 70's.
| ||
Toe Blake, Dit Clapper, Eddie Shore. Those guys were the greats.
| ||
Muscat Grant is one of my all-time favorite Twins! 21-7 in 1965, plus he was a great hitter. He homered in the 1965 World Series. Mudcat and Jim Kaat were frequently used as pinch hitters!

How about "Blue Moon" Odom?
| ||
Great read for sure Buzz Nutter ...... seriously LOL
| ||
Coco Crisp? Gotta have Coco Crisp.
| ||
How about Jim Greengrass
| ||
Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd
| ||
My personal favorite: Shooty Babbitt
| ||
Not sure if he has any cards, but my favorite Hockey player name was Seppo Repo. I believe he played for Phoenix in the WHA.

And now I've discovered Harry "the Hat" Walker." I have not researched the origin of his nickname, but I love that it appears on the front of this card. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/18/cid/26140/1949-Bowman-130-Harry-Walker?PageIndex=1 v3
Ah, the origin is right on the back of the card...
There's Raghib "Rocket" Ismail (had younger brothers Qadry nicknamed " The Missile" and Sulaiman nicknamed "The Bomb") |
