Very nice purchase of some vintage cards. I hope we can continue transactions, Bob.

Bob is truly a most wonderful individual! We had a memorable meetup, back in the early portion of this month, before my many weeks away for the Roy Hobbs World Series and lots of baseball games for this aging Baseball Player. We NEVER even mentioned ANYTHING about bringing some baseball cards, but We both did bring Each Other cards. Both of Us enjoy Trading Cards a bunch, so Gifting Each Other in an unspoken manner really resonates so much with this "sentimental fool" that I have grown to be, across the decades. I really appreciate Bob, not only because He is a serious Collector, but as a trusted Friend , and loving Soul. It would be WONDERFUL to have Him back in Our regular Forums, as He is full of insight and wisdom. Now off to get ready for Worship Service with my Beloved Wifey of almost 34 years . . .

The True Story of BOBSCARDZ & RSM

Please read the message at the link provided, there are images of forum posts, profile messages, and private messages claiming two different things. The biggest problem was the fact that Bob (via the BOBSCARDZ account) had been banned from using the forums. The RSM account was created, never mentioned the association with Bob until recently, and even in a forum posting that the RSM account made in a thread regarding some sort of a petition to get Bob's forum ban lifted, RSM states that "One of the forum posts regarding BOBSCARDZ is most annoying but also interesting. I learned that this long thread is a post/reply using a year old post, a continuum so to speak. So we were compelled to reach out to Bob and find out about this petition. We expected an old grumpy. fouled mouth member.lol.[sorry Bob]. To the contrary, yes, Bob was a little rough around the edges but willing to explain the petition." Now the RSM account notes that they are his sons trying to help him out. My question is, if they are his sons, why would they be so surprised to see who this "Bob" is? The only reason for doing this would be deception (and an attempt to distance the RSM account from Bob).
Basically, BOBSCARDZ and RSM are one in the same. Please review the feedback at BOBSCARDZ before accepting a trade with RSM, and vice versa.

Thank you for the trade. Very good communication...took some time but we got a deal done. Had to substitute some cards in the end but the substitutions were fair and items on my Want list.

I hate to leave negative feedback, but my experience was very similar to DyeHardFan's. I sent a fairly large trade offer (100 cards for 146 in return) in mid-March which was accepted on April 6th. I sent out my entire side of the trade on 4/9 and he marked it received on 4/14. I received an initial envelope with 24 cards on that same day.
A week later, I got another envelope with 30 more cards in it, but then didn't hear anything else until I sent him a message on 5/1. He replied that he had been working on some other trades and would get those out.
On 5/10 he sent me a message asking for a list of cards which I hadn't received yet (which I promptly sent him), and on 6/17 (over a month later) I got another message asking for the same information. I sent him a full list the next day. I heard nothing back for another month.
I finally contacted him on 7/18 about the status of the rest of our trade and he said that he'd put together something in the next week. A couple of weeks later, I received a 3rd envelope (on 8/4) which contained another 33 cards.
That was 3 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything since, so I'm finally just marking our trade as complete and moving on. Almost 5 months of waiting, numerous messages, and I have yet to receive around 50 cards from our original deal.
He logs into the site almost daily, so I don't think it's a case of not having time to pull cards. However, it is frustrating that the forums seem to take priority over fulfilling past trades.
He genuinely seems like a good enough guy and does complete a fair number of smaller trades (he mentioned that, with all of his inventory, they were easier for him to pull), but if you're looking to complete a large trade, I can't recommend him as a trading partner.

Proposed 93 card for 93 card swap on 3/11, accepted by Bob on 4/18. I promptly sent out his entire shipment on 4/18, and he marked received on 4/25.

I received a lot of promises that he would get my cards sent out, we sent dozens of messages, did a phone call, he sent three small PWEs of cards, and ultimately I received about 25 of the 93 cards in the trade over the course of four months.

He mentioned that his disorganization was causing the difficulties in pulling the cards, and said that many were in complete sets that couldn't be broken. One of the many frustrating parts of the endeavor, is that he puts the onus on you, the recipient, to keep him apprised of what he has sent, what's left to send, how to re-sort the trade list, etc. It's exhausting. I'm an extremely patient and understanding person, but it became clear that he just simply didn't care about fulfilling this trade, and would let this sit in the TCDb queue for months with no movement unless I chased him down.

I finally gave him an opportunity to close out the trade by sending a small set, knowing that he could simply pull that one set and be done, and he failed both in pulling it and communicating in advance of mailing of what he was sending (not the set) and why.

I cannot recommend working with him in any capacity, he simply does not prioritize his obligations, and his actions reflect that he would rather fill the forums with posts than complete the trades he has agreed to.

Had a bit of a tough time with our trade. What should have been a relatively simple and straightforward trade (Trade # 84176: 14 cards from me, 9 back from him) ended up taking over 2 months and still didn't result in me receiving several of the cards we had agreed to.

I did receive several common cards in an initial shipment, but not the cards agreed to in the trade record. In order to keep the trades organized, a 2nd trade (#85394) was created, and I sent him 11 cards in exchange for the 11 cards I kept from this initial shipment. (The balance of the cards he sent in the initial shipment, which I didn't need, were returned to him.)

After much subsequent back and forth communication, I received 3 of the cards from the original trade proposal but ultimately still haven't received the better cards that were agreed to in the trade.

In spite of this unfortunate experience, it seems that he is a nice guy and has been very apologetic about the way this trade went. He has gone so far as to advise that, even though our trade has been marked "complete" in the TCDB system, he will continue looking for the missing cards and send them if he finds them.

***NOTE: I will amend this review should the better cards arrive at a later date as he has indicated that he will continue looking for them and send them if he finds them.***

Had very much the same experience as trading4vintage below. Was hoping my experience was an aberration, and I was going to let it pass. But others have clearly had the same frustrations. Be wary.

Never got even half of the cards I traded for. I had to keep track of what was sent, message repeatedly to ask for updates, wait patiently for replies on already late shipments and the run around never stops. Over 9 months of waiting... a few packages of ONLY common cards every 3 months is not going to keep me interested. Especially when the commons he sent have already been acquired by me through over 30 successful trades from others. I didnt get any of the higher priced cards like the 1983 donruss wade boggs rookie. The main card in the trade for me. A bunch of .10 cent commons dont even add up to what the boggs rc would run at a card shop.
Bottom line is the man owes me.and I wasn't satisfied with the timing, communication, or the results

One of the all-time greatest trades on this site. Bob and I exchanged cards for an Upper Deck lamp. Everything about the transaction was perfect. Today the lamp came and it was a scene straight out of A Christmas Story as I pulled the majestic beacon of glory from it's perfectly packed box. Once she has a home I will need a forum post to show off my sorting spot in her warm glow. Bob has more cards from me coming very soon for all his help and generosity on this deal!
