Stopped building sets in 09 and now have stopped chasing SFGiants/49ers in 2019. But still have lots of wants. Due to a generous divorce court had to return to work, so trading is still important to me but now pulling and mailing can only be done on tuesday and wednesday

I collect: NBA, NHL, NASCAR, Star Wars, History, Military, DC Comics, Olympics, whatever interests me

Current project is trying to get at least one card of everyone to ever get one for NBA, NHL and NASCAR. Also working on getting at least one example of every set ever for the above sports. (Wantlists on Cardboard History)

I have some health problems that make it challenging for me to get to my trade stash. It makes me a slow trader as there are some days when I'm simply in too much pain to access the boxes. My health problems are not transferable so you do not need to fear catching anything from trading with me. I generally only can mail on Saturdays.

Trading:

I prefer to trade 1 card for 1 card. I do not care about any made up "book value". I will gladly trade more than one card for some as well...there are a few cards on my tradelist that I do need more than one card for in return though. I only put sets on my wantlist that are close to completion, so if you have something else in any of the three sports or the Non-Sports topics I focus on, odds are I will want it. Only reason I wouldn't is if I had it already.  If you don't have anything from the topics I mainly collect, but I have something you want, I will also accept football or baseball in trade, pretty much anything to get a trade done. I would prefer not to trade with smokers. I have breathing problems and cards that come from smokers are essentially useless to me, I cannot handle them. I prefer larger trades but will do any size at all.

I have tried to make sure all the cards on my Tradelist are problem free, with no corner dings, scratches or other flaws, but I am human and it's possible I may have missed something, but all cards sent out are cards you shouldn't need to worry about ever finding a replacement for. I don't demand problem free cards in return as my theory is that a damaged card is better than no card, but writing and paper loss means to me that I don't actually have that card so please don't offer them to me in trade.

If you don't care about condition, take a look through my "Damaged Cards" collection. These are all cards that I rejected from my tradelist for having flaws but they are available for trade. I would put them at one third a card "value" so 3 damaged cards vs. 1 of your cards. If you do want any of them, let me know and I will move them to my tradelist. I don't want to put them all there and cause matches for people expecting good cards and getting damaged cards in return. Some of the flaws are pretty big problems, some you will probably wonder why I didn't list it in my tradelist. While my collection doesn't demand perfection, I am very strict with condition on cards I send out in trade.

Trading Prioroties: (what makes me the happiest to get in trade, in no particular order)

  • 1995-96 and 1996-97 NBA Cards
  • 1994 NASCAR Cards
  • Any NASCAR card that actually focuses on the car
  • Automotive Non-Sport cards
  • New York Rangers
  • New York Knicks
  • New Jersey Nets (and Brooklyn and New York Nets, but the NJ era is my favorite
  • Elton Brand
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Henrik Lundqvist
  • History related Non-Sports cards
  • Attractive women (with or without clothes)
  • Anything from Racing Champions I don't have
  • Team logo cards for NBA and NHL
  • Non-sports subjects in Allen & Ginter
  • People with last names starting with Q, U, Z and especially X.
  • With that said, I will trade for anything at any time, whether it's on my wantlist or not. I prefer "quantity" to "quality" and I'm a set builder at heart.

There are also a couple of specific sets I'm really hoping to complete some day:

  • 1996-97 Ultra (NBA), my favorite set ever
  • 1988 Leesley Bigfoot (the set that got me started collecting)
  • 2002-03 Topps Chrome Refractors (NBA) Refractors are my favorite parallel and this is the closest one to completion
  • 1994 Action Packed (NASCAR) tied for my favorite NASCAR set
  • 1989-90 Marine Midland New York Rangers (just need the cover card!)
  • 1993 & 1994 Skybox The Simpsons (One base card away from completion, also chasing inserts)
  • 1954 Topps Scoop (my favorite Non-Sport set ever)
  • 1953-54 Topps World on Wheels (my favorite automotive set ever)

I only trade duplicates, but I've got thousands of them. I will not trade cards out of my collection for any reason, sorry.

Looking for NM or better for all trades for 1970 and newer, EX or for anything pre 1970.  For vintage, my definition of NM is 4 sharp corners, I'm not as concerned with centering, unless it starts to show another card.

In general, looking to trade similar era for similar era and similar types of cards for similar types.  Don't want a bunch of modern commons for vintage/inserts/SPs.  But there are exceptions to most rules.

*** UPDATE 8/18/23***

Trades finally turned back on and looking at messages again.  My apologies to all who tried to communicate with me.  Work/life got a little overwhelming, had stopped checking messages back in May.

Master baseball sets, vintage and modern, especially Fleer Greats of the Game, Topps Opening Day, and Topps vintage.

Trying to do a better job responding to trades.  Aug-Nov is tough for me, besides my regular job I also coach HS volleyball and tutor in the evenings, not leaving much time for cards.  I usually have to wait until the weekend to work on trades.

Priority given to trades that include any of the following from my wantlist:

1999-2006 Greats of the Game (Includes 1999 Sports Illustrated Greats of the Game and 2003 Flair Greats)

1999-2022 Topps Opening Day

1999-2001 Upper Deck Legends

2003 Bazooka

1999-2000 Fleer Tradition and Fleer Tradition Glossy

1999-2000 Upper Deck Black Diamond

1999-2000 Upper Deck MVP Silver Script parallels

I'm trading my left nut for the following One and Dones to complete master sets:

2000 Upper Deck Hitters Club Autographs:  Ripken  (not even sure if this exists, anyone have a scan of it)

2003 Flair Greats:  99 Conigliaro

2004 Fleer Greats of the Game Blue Parallel: 109 Thorpe (SN18)

2005 Topps Opening Day Chrome:  4 Thome (not the Chrome Refractor)

2007 Topps Opening Day Autographs:  EF Emiliano Fruto

2012 Topps Opening Day Autographs:  AC Andrew Cashner

I will gladly trade in YOUR favor.  Don't focus on value, I will most likely be happy to trade 10 cards you need for 1 card I need.

Player collections of: Eduardo Perez, Garret Anderson, Alex Rodriguez, Ted Williams, Jim Rice, Dustin Pedroia and Andrew McCutchen

2022 represents an anniversary of collecting trading cards for 70 years. I spent 50 years as a set builder of baseball cards, but now I just collect cards of the above players with an occasional small set collection. At one time, I had an collection of complete sets of Topps and Bowman baseball cards (plus others) from 1954 forward plus quite a few cards from the 1952 Topps & 1953 Topps and Bowman sets. During the late 1980s and early 1990s I sold off the majority of those sets but still continued completing sets until 2002.

I've been trading online since 1994 and welcome any trade offers.  If I offer a trade, the cards normally have already been pulled prior to an acceptance, counter or decline. It is not a problem for me to re-file or exchange cards in a trade if needed.  I do keep records of my trading with my partners addresses and occasionally recheck those traders for future trades or sometimes just send along a PIF (pay it forward).  My one major disappointment with this site is that I did not find it many years before I did.  I will usually mail cards out promptly with tracking, however lately I have used PWEs for relatively small value trades.  Saying this, I welcome trade offers.  I do not expect to ever wind up with compete collections of any of the players I collect, nor do I want to.  I try to just enjoy my collecting habit and strive to make new friends in the hobby!

Last but not least, I do not sell cards, trades only.

Looking to buy cheap lesser quality vintage baseball and football lots.

I'm a collector, NOT an investor, and I deal solely on that premise.

I have my valuations and ANYTHING vintage (i.e. up through 1979) is considered more highly than anything newer.

I have tons of Wants from the overproduced late 1980s to early 1990s and I am looking to trade within that era for those, but I will go cross-sport, and will try to match HOFers, Stars, or Commons as much as possible in a card-for-card trade.

Mostly I'm a "You got gaps; I got gaps; together no gaps" type trader, BUT because I have plenty of oddball wants, I do not trade those for base cards (or even inserts in most cases). For example, I have plenty of Kellogg's cards, but I prefer trading them for other Kellogg's cards (or other food issued cards) from similar eras.

I ACCEPT lower conditioned creased and worn cards, but I wish to be told about them. The only flaws that I'll decline would be significant paper loss on fronts, markings or doodles that are excessive, or severely cut/torn cards. In those cases I'd still like to see scans to determine if they're acceptable. (I do NOT expect your condition requirements to be like mine.)

I vow to send securely and economically with VARs confirmed and condition issues noted or explained:

  1. At least 18 cards going each way in a PWE.
  2. Trades involving up to 90 cards will be mailed in medium to large business envelopes without tracking.
  3. Larger trades will be sent in most economical way possible (obviously with tracking).

Focusing on These for Now (And the only ones which I'll consider in trades smaller than the 18 minimum from above):

  • BASEBALL
    1. 1975, 1978, & 1980 Topps
    2. 1989 & 1991 Donruss Grand Slammers (master sets)
    3. 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970s and Upper Deck Vintage (base and related inserts)
    4. Any Topps Heritage New Age Performers
    5. Any food issued sets
  • FOOTBALL
    1. 1966 Philadelphia
    2. 1968 Topps
    3. 1987 Topps
    4. 1994 Ted Williams Roger Staubach's NFL (base and related inserts)
    5. 2009 Philadelphia
  • HOCKEY
    1. 1971-72 & 1978-79 Topps
    2. 1987-88 & 1988-89 Topps
    3. 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92 Kraft sets
    4. 2001-02 Topps - 1971-72 Heritage
    5. Any food issued sets

Zach and Porter here!  Father and son combining junk wax with a new age of collecting.  Base cards still matter and so does the love of the hobby.  We love the White Sox & Chicago Bears.  We operate on a budget so we try to focus on PWE trades to maximize our monthly trade allowance.  With that said we stick to trading in the US.  Thank you for understanding

Porter and I recently started our own YouTube channel in order to share our love for collecting.  Please watch and subscribe here Zach and Porter

Porter and I were recently featured on John Newman's "Sports Card Nation Podcast"  We've been long time fans of John, he is a great ambassador of the hobby - https://www.sportscardnationpodcast.com/ep193-zach-porter-byrne/

Porter and I were recently featured in "Sports Collectors Digest” thanks to John Newman. You can read the article here.  https://sportscollectorsdigest.com/news/collectors-zach-porter-byrne-hobby-journey-sports-card-nation-john-newman

Jackie Robinson reprints (his idol)  Porter loves collecting reprints of the All-Time Greats!  Pee Wee, Duke, Stan, Honus, etc!

Jim Abbott (he fell in love with Jim's inspirational story)

Shoei Ohtani - what kid doesn't love this guy?!?

Players who turned into announcers and players featured in the Heisman House commercials.

Troy Polamalu, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Tony Gonzalez, Yadi, Trout, Terry Bradshaw, Bryce Harper, Tatis Jr., Justin Tucker, Tony Romo, Arenado, Goldschmidt, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers Manny Sanguillen and many more.

I am trying to collect:

Frank Thomas, Carlton Fisk, Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura, and other JWE stars like Rickey Henderson, Harold Baines, Ozzie Guillen, Jose Canseco, Will Clark, Albert Belle, Eric Davis, etc...I also love collecting reprints of Negro League Stars, specifically Satch, Gibson, and Papa Bell.

I PC the Chicago Bears with a focus on members of the 1985 Bears picking up cards spanning their careers.  I have a few other Football Favorites like Larry Allen, Deion, Rice, Barry Sanders, Lott, Greg Lloyd, James Harrison, Devin Hester, Derrick Thomas, Lawrence Taylor, Christian Okoye, Julius Peppers and other random stars from the past.
