- #702 was originally supposed to be Mike Witt, but the card had to be pulled from production since Witt's pants were unbuttoned on the back photo. Any remaining cards had a black rectangle placed over most of the photo. There are also some #800 checklist cards that list #702 as Witt, but they're extremely tough to find.
- The hologram pattern used on the back of the cards was reused for some print runs of 1991 Upper Deck baseball as well.
